This position offers a couple of days flexible working from home.
Role Overview:
We are recruiting for a Tier 1 Main Contractor who have opportunities for you to join their London based Power Infrastructure Project as either a QS,SQS or MQS.
Based in Farringdon, you will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of this initial project and subsequently manage a portfolio of Energy Projects going forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the commercial management of the Power Infrastructure Project, ensuring compliance with NEC Option C contract requirements.
* Oversee cost control, forecasting, and risk management to ensure financial efficiency.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments in line with contractual obligations.
* Provide strategic commercial advice to project teams, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
* Prepare and review monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and financial reports.
* Negotiate and manage compensation events and contractual variations.
* Ensure compliance with UK construction regulations and industry best practices.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
Requirements:
* Recent, relevant experience on Infrastructure or Utilities projects with a UK Main Contractor.
* Strong knowledge of NEC Option C contracts and their application in large-scale projects.
* Proven ability to manage high-value contracts and deliver cost-effective solutions.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field is desirable.
* Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
