Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable M&E Shift Engineer to join their engineering team at a key site in Exeter. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuous uptime across critical systems within a secure, 24/7/365 environment.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical and electrical systems
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, alarms, and faults-especially those impacting essential services
- Log and complete reactive tasks in line with SLAs and escalate improvements where needed
- Prepare and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all tasks
- Supervise subcontractors on-site, ensuring adherence to RAMS and permit systems
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and security across all CBRE-managed critical areas
- Proactively support the operational team with system knowledge and data input
- Conduct regular site inspections and log a minimum of 4 positive or constructive observations per month
- Attend emergency operating procedure (EOP) and standard operating procedure (SOP) scenario training
- Carry out duties independently during lone working periods when required
- Ensure full compliance with both CBRE and client-specific policies
Requirements:
- Formal electrical qualification preferred (BS7671 18th edition desirable)
- Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced technical environment
- Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, HV, PDU's, and CRAC units
- Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office; CAFM systems experience desirable
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage and store documentation to audit-ready standards
- Calm, methodical approach under pressure
- Physically fit-able to carry up to 25kg and work at heights or in confined spaces
- High commitment to customer service and technical excellence
- Previous experience with CBRE systems (desirable, not essential)
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain full security clearance
