My client have an exciting role for a Multi Skilled Engineer. They will be hands on carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance (PPMs) but also the other aspect of this role will be assisting with inducting subcontractors on site, issuing permits to work and making sure they are working safely. Where requested, undertake workmanship checks and assist the Service Manager with health & safety audits, managing stock of spares and consumables on site. There isn't any line management responsibility.

This role is initially temp but with a view to go permanent after the initial temp period.

Would be based at Homerton, East London. There will be occasional travel to some other local sites (circa once - twice a week) and then also when on-call.

Would suit an operative interested in developing and taking on some "off the tools" tasksWould be temp to perm. Looking at temp up until at least end of October.Plumbing background preferred. 18th edition desirable but not necessary Experience working in Plant rooms. PPM's and reactive maintenance.Normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday plus the on call in addition. On-call is roughly 1 in every 5 weeks. Overtime paid per call out at either time and a half or double time.No van provided but there is use of a pool van for any travel and on-callA driving licence required. No more than 6 points and not been banned in the past 5 years.A standard DBS check will also need to be obtained.Experience in a secure environment like mental health, prisons would be good or health care experience.

Job opportunities

The Facilities Manager (FM) is responsible for managing all aspects of facilities service as detailed in the Local Facilities Agreement scope of works and will report to the appropriate Regional Operations Manager.

The FM is responsible for working directly with the local client to ensure a thorough understanding of their objectives and the implementation of acceptable property-specific operating strategies that achieve these required standards. Once developed the FM must oversee the implementation of all approved initiatives and programs, by managing and coordinating the efforts of the FM team (eg. service providers, contractors and building employees) to achieve the account goals.

Client location is in Belfort and the FM presence is required five days per week

Role Responsibilities

Act as the key FM interface between the local clients and the Regional Operations Team creating alignment between client needs and organizational deliveryDevelop, gain consensus for, and implement the Best Practice/ Building Operation Plan for assigned portfolio and lead the resources to deliver against the local targets, managing scope interpretationDrive Operational control through Metrics/KPIManage site issues, escalation and resolution effectivelyProvide formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational Recommend staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for staff.
