Resourcing Group is working with a well known maintenance contractor based here in the South West. Due to a very busy period, they are in need of some administrative support to join their existing operational team in Yeovil.
This is a full time, but temporary role.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am - 430pm - potentially negotiable
The contractor carry out day to day responsive repairs in people's homes and the role will involve taking inbound calls from tenants, logging maintenance issues that they are facing, while agreeing to carry out the works with in set time frames. Scheduling the works to be carried out, liaising with the directly employed staff, supporting the Management team and in general picking up administrative roles in addition to being on the call forms the bulk duties.

We are recruiting for a Main Contractor who have an exciting new opportunity in their Projects division for an experienced Project Manager, with a strong electrical background in the DNO, IDNO or ICP industry to join their team.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the renewable or embedded generation sector along with the associated industry authorisations and supporting qualifications.
Strong construction project management background with the supporting qualifications is essential as the role will support a specific project and will report to the Construction Manager.
Role overview:
* You will review the project throughout the design process and ensure its ready for handover to construction team.
* You will ensure all electrical works are compliant with the relevant DNO G81, BS standards, clients ER`s or other relevant standards and effectively manage and deliver construction projects from design handover to completion, including all associated commissioning works.
* You will update and manage the Programme of Works, as required ensuing all key personnel are informed of any changes.
* Producing three week, monthly and 3 month look ahead and identifying key risk and critical path tasks.
* You will familiarise yourself with the CPP, F10 (If required) and the company's suite of HSEQ documentation. In conjunction with the Site Manager and Project team you are responsible for site safety and security.
* Assist and provide information to the HSEQ Manager in the production of and providing technical detail in RAMS, audits etc.
* You will carry out suitable Quality Assurance (QA) ensure pre-work checks and sign off completed works checking it is to specification and designs. Compile/collate test certificates, reports etc as required within the Handover File.
Person specification:
* Minimum of HNC in Electrical/Civil engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years working in in the construction industry and specifically in Electrical infrastructure projects
* Worked within a NERS environment (National Electricity Registration Scheme)
* Experience with installation or project management of electrical infrastructure up to 132 kV
* Essential: Knowledge of switchgear, transformers, generators, sub stations etc. and a comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and compliance on construction sites
* You must be able to chair the projects technical meetings with the design and operations teams, including DNO and client technical advisors

The Opportunity
Our client is growing their team delivering AMP8 for Thames Water, to meet the greatly enlarged programme of works between 2025 and 2030. They have already been allocated c.£250m of projects in the rural setting of the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and Thames Valley regions.
This is a great opportunity to join the team delivering on Treatment Works within this area. Projects are a mix of civil, mechanical, electrical and IC scopes and range between £2.5m to £25m in size.
What you will be doing as Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Provide commercial management on medium to high risk / complexity projects including the following tasks:
* Co-ordinating with, reporting to and implementing the reasonable directives of the Managing Quantity Surveyor (functional reporting).
* Complete monthly internal CVR updates informed by robust cost forecasting.
* Liaising with Contracts Managers on the day-to-day commercial administration of contracts to ensure the financial success of construction operations and to keep the Commercial Manager appraised of all material events.
* Undertake subcontract procurement from cradle to grave (enquiry packages, bid analysis and recommendations, Subcontract drafting and Subcontract management through to final account).
* Supervising, mentoring and encouraging junior staff in their personal professional development.
* Ensuring consultation with contracts management that all necessary notices and submissions required by the Contract are given in an expedient manner.
* Compilation and submission of monthly Applications for Payment to the Client
* Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolution.
* Responsible for managing meetings where appropriate.
* Line management responsibility for junior members of the commercial team.
What they need from you:
* Sound & comprehensive understanding of construction industry and the parties to it.
* Proficient knowledge of measurement and valuation.
* Good knowledge of standard forms of contract.
* Proficient in reading drawings, specifications and knowledge of construction process.
* Ability to negotiate with clients/sub-contractors and draft sub contracts.
* Knowledge of CIS.
* Ability to produce accurate monthly cost and value reports and outturn financial forecasts.
