They are seeking experienced and qualified Traffic Management Operatives to deliver the contract. These roles are permanent opportunities that include benefits such as holiday pay, pension, sick pay, death in service. Working in Surrey this role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and functionality of our highways and roadways. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a traffic management operative.
The successful candidate will have a full UK manual driving license as well as relevant industry qualifications such as Lantra NHSS 12AB or NHSS 12D M1 & 2, M5, M6 or TTMBC. NRSWA Street works qualification is also desirable.
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management on roads in/around the community. You will be tasked with delivering small to medium size projects.
Duties include:
Distributing cones, signs, frames, and sandbags where needed
Participate in planned and emergency road closures
Carry out supervision and control of contractors working on the network
Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday and there are opportunities for overtime.

Working in Surrey this role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and functionality of our highways and roadways. The ideal candidate will have experience in Highways maintenance including:
DrainagePatchingWhite WorksResponsive RepairsStructural workRelevant qualifications such as NRSWA Operatives Units 1 - 9, NHSS 12AB or NHSS 12D, HGV class 2 would be a benefit.
A full manual driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Highway Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on highways, roads, and associated infrastructure. This includes pothole repairs, surface treatments, drainage maintenance, and roadside verge management.
Patching of potholesConduct reinstatement activities in compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and relevant industry codes of practice.Repair road surfaces, footpaths, and verges by accurately matching materials, textures, and colours to ensure a seamless integration with existing surfaces.Operate various tools and machinery, including but not limited to pneumatic drills, pedestrian rollers, compactors, and tarmac rollers, to complete reinstatement work efficiently and to the required standards.Prepare excavation areas by removing debris, compacting sub-layers, and applying appropriate layers of materials such as tarmac, asphalt, and concrete.Install, adjust, and repair ironwork, kerbs, and drainage systems as necessary.Assist in the identification of underground utilities and ensure the protection of existing services during reinstatement work.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in highway maintenance or traffic management. Previous work with road repairs, traffic control, or similar tasks is highly desirable.Skills: Strong understanding of road safety regulations and maintenance practices. Ability to operate relevant machinery and equipment proficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Qualifications: Relevant certifications in highway maintenance or Traffic management. Such as Highways NRSWA Operatives Units 1 - 9, NHSS 12AB, NHSS 12DCommunication: Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members, the public, and other stakeholders.Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required. A category C or C+E license is preferred.Benefits:
