Resourcing Group are actively recruiting for Kitchen and Bathroom fitters, to work on behalf of a regional maintenance contractor assisting with undertaking bathroom & kitchen fitting related works on Local Authority properties in Cheltenham commencing start on site from 23/06.
The Kitchen / Bathroom fitter Multi Trade role:
Previous experience on Repairs & Maintenance or Kitchen and Bathroom Fitting contracts.Undertaking multi trade work in occupied, residential properties to complete second fix work including joinery works, some Plumbing, patch Plastering, The work is primarily lone working with the support and guidance of a Foreperson and Contract Manager.The ability to work professionally and considerately within people's homes in a customer facing environment, always considering yours and others Health and Safety.What will you bring as a Multi Trade Operative?
Qualified to an NVQ 2 level is desired or time served, in a core internal trade. Experience in residential maintenance and repairs work is essential, experience of working as a Multi Trader, specifically with basic carpentry expertise.Excellent customer service skills and strong commitment to retaining these standards whilst working in the professional environment, with the ability to ensure customers feel safe and comfortable in your company.Possession of a full current UK Driving license and Van is essential to complete the Multi Trade Operative role. With a company van provided if you opt for permanent employment.Package:

Your new role as Quantity Surveyor:
As the Quantity Surveyor you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite. They offer a variety of works including established frameworks and core contracts with prestigious housing clients within the public, and residential sector as well as their property services covering retirement living, commercial and education sectors too. You will have full accountability of measuring and preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any commercial risks and mitigation for these. Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning from the outset. You will also complete and analyse weekly reporting from site, ensuring it has adequate cost information.
The Experience Required:
Proven experience in similar estimating and commercially focused surveying role. Experience of the commercial ownership of projects and contracts from tender and estimation stages through to final account. Experience of working for a refurbishment contractor would be very advantageous. You will also have experience of successfully managing commercially, a total value of works up to £2 million annually, must have schedule of rates and NHF knowledge.

The job role:
* You will be providing detailed and accurate reports to the Contract Manager to ensure the works can be costed and ordered correctly
* You will be on-site setting up and monitoring sub-contractors and directly employed labour, ensuring the works are completed to the appropriate specified standards, including the checking and signing off all works on completion
* The daily site management of team productivity, the regular reporting of this and job completion information communicated to the Contracts Manager
* Health and Safety reporting - you will complete on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections.
