About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to oversee the delivery of M&E fit-out works on high-spec projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating M&E subcontractors, and ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day site activities for M&E Fit out
* Oversee and coordinate all subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, program, and safety standards.
* Monitor and report progress against the construction programme.
* Ensure site works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
* Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure risk assessments/method statements (RAMS) are followed.
* Maintain daily site records including progress updates, site diaries, and snagging reports.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors to ensure smooth communication and efficient project delivery.
* Conduct quality inspections and sign-off on completed works.
* Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar Site Manager role within M&E fit-out projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* SMSTS and First Aid certifications are essential (CSCS not essential)
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices and compliance.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple subcontractors and deadlines.

Your new role as Quantity Surveyor:

As the Quantity Surveyor you will actively tender, estimate and measure onsite. They offer a variety of works including established frameworks and core contracts with prestigious housing clients within the public, and residential sector as well as their property services covering retirement living, commercial and education sectors too. You will have full accountability of measuring and preparing cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any commercial risks and mitigation for these. Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning from the outset. You will also complete and analyse weekly reporting from site, ensuring it has adequate cost information.

The Experience Required:

Proven experience in similar estimating and commercially focused surveying role. Experience of the commercial ownership of projects and contracts from tender and estimation stages through to final account. Experience of working for a painting or refurbishment contractor would be very advantageous. You will also have experience of successfully managing commercially, a total value of works up to £2 million annually, must have schedule of rates and NHF knowledge.
