Job Summary
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Facilities Management team. Based predominantly on-site in Speke (80%), this role will also involve travel to smaller satellite locations around Liverpool, requiring a valid UK driving licence. The successful candidate must hold AM2 certification, have significant experience in FM maintenance, and be confident in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs with minimal disruption
* Complete electrical installations and issue appropriate certification
* Operate and interrogate BMS/HVAC systems for performance issues
* Support basic building fabric maintenance and minor repair tasks
* Maintain records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements
* Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures on all tasks
* Represent the company in a clean, tidy, and professional manner
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* AM2 qualification and recognised electrical trade certification
* QC Number and 18th Edition (BS 7671) compliance
* Minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience
* Experience in FM maintenance environments
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Computer literate and fluent in English (spoken and written)
Desirable:
* Legionella and Asbestos awareness (training can be provided)
* MEWP Licence and First Aid certification
* Familiarity with building fabric repairs and general maintenance tasks
* Experience with BMS/HVAC systems

We're looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and customer-focused individual to join the team and you'll be directly managing 3 staff members, so a degree of experience in line management is essential for the role. You will also require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle, with valid business insurance.
Your new role
* Delivery of housing management services across a small patch, including lettings, rent arrears control, voids and tenancy management.
* Overseeing Complaints Handling Code and submission & monitoring of annual performance reports
* Preparing reports for resident committees, attending resident meetings and providing administrative support
* Assisting with the development and implementation of improvement plans for the service
* Working closely with colleagues, stakeholders and other teams to maintain and build positive relationships
* Carrying out project work as required on behalf of the Directors/Chief Exec
What you'll need to succeed
* A minimum of 12 months' housing management experience with line management responsibilities
* Strong knowledge and understanding of housing legislation and good practice including the Complaints Handling Code
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Managing projects and complex casework
* Able to attend evening meetings, work an on call rota and work from office 5 x days per week
* Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
