About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's established Highways Maintenance team. You will be an essential part of delivering a major Highways Maintenance Contract, ensuring the commercial efficiency and contractual compliance of the project under NEC forms of contract. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of working from home a couple of days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project costs and ensure financial targets are achieved.
* Administer NEC contracts, including handling early warnings, compensation events, and agreement of final accounts.
* Monitor and control budgets and project forecasts.
* Oversee subcontractor procurement and manage their performance.
* Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
* Collaborate with project teams to optimize value engineering.
* Support and mentor junior team members as required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Infrastructure or Utilities, preferably within a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
* Strong knowledge and application of NEC forms of contract.
* Background in highways, infrastructure, or maintenance projects is advantageous.
* Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
* Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent is desirable.
