I am currently working alongside a well-established social housing contractor who are looking to welcome an electrician to their team based in the Oxfordshire area.

Job Description

Electrician Duties include all maintenance electrical works including fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted social housing properties. Work includes but not limited to repairing MCB - Circuit breakers, small electrical repairs, switches, re-certification, certificating all works. Working within the social housing network. Weekly pay On call required. once in four weeks (Approx.)Full UK driving license required. Company van, fuel card, tools, uniform and pda supplied from day one. Qualifications required: City & Guilds, AM2 or gold card. Test and inspection (Preferred but not essential) 07:00am until 16:30pm inc a one hour break per day. 23 days holidays plus bank holidays, discounted health care, high street and life style discounts. Working alongside an award winning property maintenance specialist with over 700 colleagues and twenty locations across the UK. Temporary to permanent contract. (12 weeks through agency and 13th week, you will receive an offer of permanent employment) Salary is £38,532 PA plus on call. On call is an additional £3000 - £4000 per annum. Covering Oxfordshire and surrounding area.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a diverse skill set, particularly in kitchen or bathroom installations, as well as general multi-trade work.

As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of various projects, delivering high-quality workmanship across a variety of trades, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and tiling. Your primary responsibilities will focus on kitchen or bathroom installations, with the expectation that you will manage and complete tasks from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Installations:

Install, repair, and replace kitchen units, worktops, sinks, and appliances.

Measure, cut, and fit cabinetry, flooring, and other kitchen-related components.

Ensure installations are completed to the highest standards, meeting health and safety regulations.

Bathroom Installations:

Install, repair, and replace bathroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs.

Tiling, plumbing, and basic electrical work related to bathroom installations.

Carry out all necessary finishing touches, ensuring a professional finish.

General Multi-Trade Work:

Perform a range of tasks across various trades, such as carpentry, plastering, tiling, basic plumbing.

Undertake maintenance and repairs in residential properties as required.

Ensure all work is completed to the required standards, on time, and within budget.

Health & Safety:

Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.

Ensure that all working environments are kept clean, safe, and organised.

Carry out risk assessments and report any safety concerns.

Customer Interaction:

Maintain excellent communication with clients and the project management team.

Provide high levels of customer service and professionalism on-site.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a multi-trade operative, with a focus on kitchen and bathroom installations.

Competence in a range of trades including carpentry, tiling, plumbing, and basic electrical work.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

Strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards.

Experience working in residential properties is essential.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Full driving license and own transport (due to the nature of the role).

Personal Attributes:

Reliable and punctual.

High attention to detail and quality of work.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Customer-focused approach.
