Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Geographic working arrangements
You will be based working from home, but will need to attend:
* At least one day a month at the Scunthorpe office
* One day a month needed on a Project in Cornwall
* One day a month needed on a Project in Essex
Purpose:
Manage commercial Power contracts up to £5m+, ensuring profitable project delivery aligned with business goals. Lead contract negotiations, procurement, financial control, and dispute resolution for major projects, supporting project managers on smaller ones.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate contract terms pre- and post-tender
* Provide commercial input during tendering
* Manage multiple contracts, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
* Monitor project progress, costs, and cash flow
* Lead contract reviews and client meetings
* Oversee procurement and subcontractor accounts
* Manage variations, claims, and final accounts
* Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Project teams to mitigate risks and maximize profit
Requirements:
* Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a UK Main Contractor in Power, Utilities or Civil Engineering/Infrastructure.
* Degree and professional qualification (e.g., RICS) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* Senior-level experience in engineering
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Full driving licence
