Architectural Technician -Manchester - Construction
We are working with a well established Construction contractor who are looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their team in Manchester working on prestigious construction projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will be a confident user of Revit, AutoCAD and have a good knowledge of BIM Protocols. They will have good experience in delivering multiple projects and the ability to work closely with project and design teams.

Job Summary:
My client are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Design Manager - Civil & Structural to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex civil and structural engineering projects. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to manage multidisciplinary design teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver innovative engineering solutions on time and within budget.
Requirements:
* 8-years working in a Design Manager role for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in UK
* Experience in delivering major projects in excess of £100M
* Experience in delivering design for civil & structural packages in excess of £30M, inclusive of basement construction
* Experience in delivering projects now considered as' High-Risk Buildings' under Building Safety Act (over 18m and habitable)
* Degree qualified in a technical subject appropriate for role - required to demonstrate competence to Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under Building Safety Act
* Professionally chartered to a body appropriate for role - required to demonstrate competence to Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under Building Safety Act
* Site based 4-days per week, with flexibility for 1 working from home day - ideally someone within 1 hour of travelling distance to Cambridge

Design Manager - construction - Manchester
We are working with a Main contractor who are looking for a Design Manager to work on Public sector new build and refurbishment projects out of their offices in Manchester, The company are a well established business with a strong portfolio of work and extensive pre planned works.
Roles, Duties, Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility for the design coordination of large projects.
* Audit the design and identify inconsistencies, discrepancies and missing information and record, report and track the close out of these items in an Information Required Schedule format.
* Review design development regularly with the Financial Manager to ensure design and commercial aspects are aligned.
* Manage the production and approval of samples, mock ups and quality benchmarks.
* Produce and manage Open Items Schedules for each trade contractor package.
* Chair Design Team Meetings with the consultant designers and record and track information from DTMs.
* Coordinate the integration of the building services with the architectural and structural elements of the project.
* Identify potential quality issues and latent defects and to manage the design development of these with the design team to provide a suitable resolution.
* Be a point of contact between the design team and the trade contractors.
* Identify problems and offer solutions.
* Provide input into Contractors Proposals document for D&B projects.
* Background in Architectural design or Construction management
* Industry experience. Track record of successful projects either internally or externally
* In-depth knowledge of the design and construction process
* Understands the pre-construction process. Can organise and manage the design phase of a project
* Has been involved in at least one large (£10m+) project
* CAD
* Bid Management
* Working on multiple projects
* Architectural/ Structural / Project Management
* Good Presentation skills
* Good communicator
