Our client is one of the worlds leading data centre specialists who maintain data centres in the UK, Europe and World Wide. They now have an opportunity for a Shift Leader to join the team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and keeping in good repair, the buildings mechanical & electrical systems along with all associated component parts of Data Centres.
* HV Authorised with previous HV switching experience
* Routine tests, checks and record keeping for all the buildings systems
* Maintain water systems and all records to the highest standard in accordance with L8 Legislation.
* Undertake daily walk rounds of client areas and plant rooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain Plant rooms in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
* Liaise and arrange sub contractor support and effectively manage and control all sub-contractors, including cleaning.
* To monitor the buildings environmental temperature, humidity, and space conditions and ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with the business requirement
* To monitor and adjust as deemed necessary, the building management systems (BMS) to control the buildings HVAC to optimal levels of efficiency.
* Provide rapid and effective response to customer and helpdesk calls and defects.
* Provide innovative solutions to improve building, plant and system energy efficiency.
* Manage, rectify and record defects through the Help Desk to ensure all are rectified within SLA timeframes.
* Keep the Operations Manager briefed on all issues and progress.
* Raise hazard, incident and flash reports
* Use the Log Book System to store all records and certification for the site.
* Manage defects to completion; including full investigation, sourcing materials, provision of quotes, raising of Purchase Orders and arrangement of rectification.
They are looking for a Shift Supervisor.
There will also be a great opportunity to progress within supervisory and management positions etc.
To be considered for the post you will need to have relevant electrical qualifications and experience in a similar role carrying out building services maintenance in a critical environment.
City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent is essential, previous experience with HV in a Data Centre. This job involves the maintenance and upkeep of the building systems, AHUs/ Lighting/Power/UPS/HV/Generators/Cooling systems/BMS/Faultfinding etc. The HV ticket doesn't necessarily need to be in date.

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Technical Manager to join their centralised operations team to work across various critical contracts. The role is home based / hybrid with travel to sites predominantly within the london area.
This is a key appointment and will require the individual to be technically strong with a critical engineering / data centre background. This posiiton will get involved regularly with root cause analysis, fault rectification and act as the appointed Senior Authorised Person, for the operation of both Low and High Voltage equipment .
The position will be a mix of Hybrid working and travelling to sites around the M25
Role Profile:
* Senior Authorised Person for HV
* Root cause analysis / review of any technical faults
* Carrying out scenario and training with engineering staff
* Liaising with the clients to ensure excellent feedback and customer satisfaction
* Assisting and Organising with System shutdowns across sites
* Providing technical advice for reactive repairs
* Liaise, audit and manage sub-contractors
The position details:
Monday to Friday
Salary up-to £90k
Car or Allowance of £5000 + 20% Bonus
25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday
Pension Scheme
HNC Level/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience - Minimum 5 years experience in a data centre / critical environment
Current or Previous HV SAP Authorised Person Status (Essential)
Ideally AE (Authorising Engineer Status) (Desirable)

There are a couple of other local sites.Planned Maintenance: Emergency light testing, fire alarm checks, and scheduled PPM tasks.Reactive and remedial Electrical works: Fault-finding and repairs for lighting, power issues, replacing lamps, lights, pumps, motors, and conducting 2nd-fix tasks such as sockets and switches and general electrical problems.Assisting with other trades and completing other general building fabric repairs Multi Skilled individual but with an electrical bias ideally having Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th edition. Van and fuel card provided.Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Would need to get involved with on call for emergency / make safe works. Roughly one week every month where they could get called out evenings/weekend.
