We are working closely with our valued client to recruit a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team at the state-of-the-art terminal and blending facility in Avonmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional to oversee all aspects of terminal maintenance while ensuring full compliance with QHSSE procedures and regulations.
The Job role:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will report to the Terminal Manager and be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of maintenance at the Avonmouth Terminal. You will utilize the Terminal maintenance system CheckProof to carry out a rigorous planned preventative maintenance scheme, manage third-party contractors, and ensure the safe and efficient storage and supply of bitumen to customers while delivering business excellence through achievement of key targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of terminal maintenance ensuring full compliance with QHSSE procedures and regulationsUtilise CheckProof maintenance system to carry out rigorous planned preventative maintenance schemesOrganise and manage all third-party contractors to support maintenance needsAssist the Terminal Manager in the safe and efficient operation of the bitumen terminalAct as a safety ambassador, ensuring adherence to site safety rules and regulations at all timesSupport the operation of loading bitumen into road tankers while maintaining professional standardsManage and drive site maintenance activities with full adherence to Permit to Work schemesCarry out risk assessments, safe systems of work, and safety documentation for maintenance activitiesMaintain and update the site asset register using the CMMS system CheckProofDevelop isolation procedures for the facilityConduct inductions, toolbox talks, and appropriate briefingsMaintain effective relationships with all site personnel including bitumen delivery driversComplete required paperwork in line with company requirementsAttend training courses to ensure continued developmentAssist with import and export operations by ship and truckChampion diversity and inclusiveness while delivering company CSI targetsRequirements:
Experience in asphalt or quarry operationsElectrical knowledge up to 18th Edition or EAL certifications requiredWorking knowledge of health and safety regulationsFull clean UK driving licenceHealth & Safety AwarenessGood work ethic with ability to work within a teamStrong communication skills (written and oral)Achievement and results-driven approachProblem-solving skills with demonstration of flexibility and adaptabilityAdditional Information:

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and driven Fire & Security Engineers to support a major nationwide contract, covering a portfolio of over 1,100 stores, including depots, supermarkets, and petrol stations. With our team expanding from 37 to 44 engineers, we are looking for professionals who can hit the ground running or are willing to learn and develop on the job.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control systems, and security tagging gates. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires travel between allocated sites - typically managing a patch of 40+ stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, install, and maintain fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and electronic tagging systems.Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across retail and commercial sites.Support system upgrades and commissioning of new systems as needed.Ensure all work is logged accurately and meets regulatory and client standards.Complete documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.Liaise with store/site managers and coordinate work with minimal disruption.Participate in ongoing training and probationary reviews over the first 12 weeks.Requirements:
Experience in fire or security systems (both preferred, but cross-training available).Background in either domestic or commercial installations is acceptable.Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.Full UK driving licence.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.Additional Info:
